therapy doesn't have to suck

THERAPY

FOR COUPLES

Common issues couples might seek therapy for are a lack of intimacy, relationship tension, inequalities, fertility, communication issues,  infidelity or  contemplating divorce or separation.

I help you address conflicts where you were stuck over the same arguments again and again and find ways to make decisions together, rekindle your relationship when intimacy and desire have decreased, connect emotionally with one another and addressdiversity within your relationship.

Conflict Management, Equality in the Relationship, Sexuality, Infidelity, Money or Parenthood.

THERAPY

FOR INDIVIDUALS

Many individuals feel the need to look for therapy and take care of their mental health when experiencing loneliness or grief at a turning point moment in their lives such as the loss of a loved one, a breakup or migration.

Violence is another frequent reason to seek therapy as it affects your self-representation and self-esteem, especially if you’re being confronted with racism, LGBTIQA+phobias and transphobia, ableism or fatphobia. I can support you in healing from the trauma caused by it and developping new tools to deal with it in the future.

THERAPY

in group

It offers a safe space designed for healing and bonding with other participants who share similar experiences. They act as mirrors to explore your identity and create alliances to overcome difficulties.

The groups I facilitate are online or in-person in Valencia, often (but not only) oriented at individuals in vulnerable situations (like LGBTIQA+ people, migrants or survivors of violence). Don’t hesitate to reach out and ask me for what is going on at the moment!

Support Group, Empowerment, LGBTIQA+, Migration, Gender Violence.

It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences.
Audre Lorde

gestalt therapy and feminism

Gestalt therapy is humanist therapy based on the trio body-mind-emotions. It consists of working on the awareness of the difficulties and dynamics you are undergoing. Its three pillars are Awareness in Relationships Here and Now. Therefore therapy is crafted for each individual according to their specific needs.

Intersectional feminism brings a vision of the issues of power and equality, understanding inequalities are a cause for suffering in relationships. It casts light on violences such as  LGBT+phobias, racism, ableism or fatphobia to counteract their effect in therapy.

FAQ

First individual session lasts 60 min and couple session 90min so we have the chance to get to know each other without rush and explore what brings you to therapy. We will determine together the best therapy course for you and its approximate duration.

Before the session, it can help to sit down for a moment and think about what brings you to therapy. How have you been feeling lately? What do you want to talk about? During the session, you can freely share what you wish and as far as you want.

The length of therapy mainly depends of the specific issues you want to discuss. Progress relies on a combination of factors, such as your commitment to the process, the quality of our bond as well as the compatibility of my expertise with your demand.

I celebrate all identities and bodies. I commit to work toward understanding my own privileges, biases and the impacts of systemic discriminations and oppression based on my own identity and that of my clients. I am currently accepting new clients. Depending on my caseload I usually can receive you within 5-10 days from the initial contact. If you are ready now, skip the wait and request a session.
